Wenergy has recently signed a new industrial and commercial energy storage project in Norway. The Stars Series liquid-cooled ESS cabinets will be deployed at critical nodes of the Norwegian power grid to provide fast frequency response, peak shaving, and other essential grid-support services. This milestone demonstrates Wenergy’s successful entry into the highly demanding and technically stringent Nordic energy storage market.

The Nordic power system is known for its advanced market design, high penetration of renewable energy, and extremely strict requirements for grid stability. To participate in frequency regulation services, energy storage systems must meet far higher standards than in typical global markets — including sub-second or millisecond-level response speed, long cycle life, full-lifecycle safety, wide-temperature adaptability, and stringent grid-compliance performance.

During the project evaluation, the customer conducted comprehensive technical testing on the product, while also requiring the system to comply with mandatory specifications for the Nordic frequency response market. In addition, the solution passed a technical review by an independent third-party EMS operator. The project also underwent strict compliance and credit assessments from the end-customer’s financing institution, further demonstrating Wenergy’s reliability in product quality and corporate credibility.
