Project Overview
Wenergy is advancing the implementation of a 5MW / 20MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for an industrial manufacturing facility in Eastern Europe. The project targets a PV + ESS application scenario characterized by high-load operations, frequent grid outages, voltage fluctuations, and limited grid reliability. The system is designed to provide ≥4 hours of backup power, ensure uninterrupted production, and maximize on-site solar utilization through peak–valley arbitrage and intelligent energy management.
Solution Highlights
The project adopts Wenergy’s liquid-cooled battery containers integrated with PCS and transformer architecture, delivering high efficiency, thermal stability, and long-term reliability. A zero-second switching mechanism ensures seamless transition during grid disturbances, effectively protecting critical loads and maintaining operational continuity.
Key Value & Customer Impact
The BESS significantly enhances energy resilience while unlocking economic value. By storing excess PV generation and dispatching energy during peak tariff periods, the system reduces electricity costs and enables additional revenue streams. Its compact design minimizes footprint, lowers auxiliary consumption, and reduces system losses, improving overall lifecycle returns.
