Hengdian Studio, Asia’s largest film shooting base, consumes over 3 million kWh of electricity annually across more than 300 film crews. To replace conventional diesel generators and meet the need for flexible, reliable power, Wenergy deployed a 16.7 MW / 34.7 MWh mobile Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Phase II, following the 2.43 MW / 4.761 MWh Phase I deployment. With over 40 Turtle M Series Mobile ESS units in operation, the system provides plug-and-play power for film sets and other temporary applications. A typical 723 kWh unit can charge in around two hours and power a mid-sized crew for a full day.
